I have being online marketing for 3 months, spent alot of time writing articles, building websites and podcast. I have had alot of article view well into the thousands but I have only being able to obtain 25 subribers, i dont advertise in my email list either. what am i doing wrong.

or does it just take time?

probably you do not do a good job….
further more you better make the “products ” better and read regarding marketing

    It depends on what tools you use and what your market is. You may get more attention if you subscribe to RSS feeds of interesting blogs with Google Reader, share interesting items and have your shared items automatically ported too services like Twitter. Use Bit.ly to shorten URL’s and integrate this with your Twitter account and have the Bit.ly button in your web browser in case you publish something or if you find an interesting article. If you’re good and update a lot your tweets will show up on i.e. Google. If people recognize you and you are not spamming or publishing irrelevant trash they may subscribe. To your Twitter, to your Google Reader, to your blog, to your e-mail list, whatever.

    Channeling is the most important thing. You basically want one RSS feed that contains all your publications, comments, web finds and whatever you send out. By having this RSS feed automatically published on Twitter it becomes visible to i.e. search engines and other web services that i.e. automatically publish tweets with certain keywords. People can subscribe in many ways and even follow you invisible. The number of subscribers doesn’t really mean much. People may subscribe and never read anything. You want exposure so that the right people and services find you. Also integrate your Twitter stream in i.e. your LinkedIn profile and join relevant groups. And why not do the same thing on Facebook, Yahoo profile, Orkut and whatever social network your potential customers may hide.

    IMHO, it’s not really good.

    Give a try to redesign your landing page or change your freebies in order to attract visitor to subscribe.
