Question by JustMeTom: Struggling to find a job in Marketing?! Help?!?
I currently work as a Marketing Assistant/ Print Media executive for a major national betting company. I deal with all the print material for press on a daily basis. I also oversee and assist with the delivery of in-store marketing campaigns and liaise with print production houses to deliver the marketing material (i.e posters). I also assist with event promotions/ organisations and source marketing ‘goodies’ such as key rings, pens etc..
Another main part of my job is to create, maintain and update on a daily basis multiple online websites using a CMS. Some of the online campaigns I work with also involved creating and co-ordination direct mail marketing campaigns.
For the print side, I have to front meetings to source content for the week ahead, and designate out work loads either to myself or the design team, proactively designing adverts myself.
I do all of this and more to a high standard and constantly get praised at work. I have handed my notice in as I am moving to London, but despite nearly three years experience doing the above I cannot seem to find a job doing the same or similar in London. I have applied for over one hundred jobs, all of a similar role (Marketing Assistant) consisting of similar tasks to my current day to day job yet I can’t seem to be able to actually get one. I havent managed to secure any interviews yet and I am moving in just over two weeks time.
Any advice, or suggestions would be appreciated.

I think it is more difficult as I have no degree and am only 19. However, I was hopefully that three years experience would cancel this out. Thanks
