Good luck!
The first time you use internet explorer… I do believe it defaults to msn.com. I know also that MSIE will sometimes use msn.com to search for a url you type into the locator bar. I never use it unless I am stuck on a computer that has nothing else, for a variety of reasons. One is that it is slanted. Sites critical of Microsoft get far fewer results than other search engines.
Example:
Results 1 – 10 of about 179,000 for badvista. (0.38 seconds) Google
MSN has 86,000,000 results and most are not related to Windows Vista
1 – 10 of 270,000 for badvista (Yahoo)
We found 30 results matching badvista, licensed under the Creative Commons[x].
1 on Answers, right under a fix Vista Ad
The first answer on dogpile will tell you what badvista was.
At one time MSN search engine would give very few answers about badvista, and people made noises about it. Now they bury the significant answers in some supposedly related retrievals.
Anyway, dogpile is owned by google and altavista by Yahoo. I am unsure of the status of Ask Jeeves and Answers. About.com goes in a different direction and is a pretty nice break from search engines, as is WikiPedia, where you can actually contribute your knowledge to the whole.
Hi There,
Yes…Another very popular search engine is Ask.com. I use this quite often as well. Actually, I used this before I started using Google.
Sure, Top 5 search engine as per below:
