How Can I Find And Hire An Illustrator? Is There A Search Engine Or Business To Check?

I am looking for a fantasy illustrator.
Any price range.
Basically, all I want is the search engine, business, or service, along with any details such as efficiency, prolifity, etc.
If there is a specific artist you want to mention, state his/her name, style, and possible business affiliations.

go to elance.com. In order to find a good artist there you will probably have to sign up and post a job then read the profiles and view the galleries of those who respond to your job post. Its easy and FREE. You “may” be able to research profiles and galleries without having to post a job. If you do post a job and later recant the job there are no penalties. If you post a job and never go through with the request there is no penalty.

I reckon the Yellow Pages of your phone directory should do the trick!

Try findamuralist .com and then your state. Most artists know how to illustrate, or have contacts of artist friends etc. This site will give you their background, jobs, etc.
