How Can I Set The Default Search Engine In Firefox?

I seem to have accidentally installed something called ‘Crawler’ as the default search engine and I don’t want it. How do I change the default search engine back to Google?

In the address bar, type in: “about:config” (without the quotes)
Inside of the filter search box, type in:
    browser.search.defaultenginename
Double click that entry (or right click and choose “Modify”) and then type in the name of the search engine you wish to have as the default search engine. Type Google and restart firefox.

If you mean your homepage (the site that comes up when you open firefox) then go to Tools > Options > Main > Startup > Hompage and change it there.

I really don’t trust Crawler products , ie screensavers , smilleys but that is your choice …To hide the crawler toolbar ..Click on View >Toolbars > and untick the crawler toolbar
