How Do I Change My Internet Explorer 7 Default Search Engine?

I have a Dell computer. Everytime I search from the address bar, it defaults to a Dell search page. I changed my default search engine in IE to Yahoo, but from when I search from the address bar, it still uses the Dell search page.

In Internet Explorer 7 to change default Search go to:
    Tools > Internet Options
See 2/3 of the way down the section “change search defaults”? That’s what you want. Click on the button “Settings” right next to that .
Click on the small text link “find more providers” on the lower left corner
Select what you want for default search and away you go!!!

don’t search from the address bar
that makes a mess of your “history”
if your IE7 doesn’t have a “search box” to the right of the address bar,
then it probably needs to be enabled, or installed etc.
I’ve seen both an IE 7 with a search box and one without
but once you have a search box, use that instead
except for things you actually know the address for then use the address bar.
edit I don’t use IE of any version for internet
    I use FireFox2 (end edit)
    Cheers

Just had a look because I wasn’t sure either! CLick on Tools, Internet Options, about halfway down you have Search, click on settings, then right at the bottom, on the left, you can just about see “Find more providers”. You then either choose from the list, or if you have one of your own give the URL and off you go! :-)
