How Do I Install A Search Engine On A New Computer ?
I am getting a new computer tomorrow and the only thing it has on it is Windows XP. I know nothing about computers and would like to know how to install a new search engine, ( Yahoo, Google or Internet Explorer). Any help in simple easy to understand and follow language would be appreciated.

Im assuming that you meen a home page, well heres how you do it,
1. Go into tools and select options
2. Right on the first page of options there is a box at the top with the words Home Page above it and you just type in the web adress and thats it all done
3. dont forgt to apply changes
just google the main installer….(downloading “yahoo messenger” will prompt you to install their search engines)
BTW, Internet Explorer was already installed on the system
a search engine is on the internet ie http://www.google.com
you dont need to install it on your computer as such. you will need an internet browser which your computer should have
windows xp is an operating system so it will still have programs pre installed. just go on the internet with your new computer.
Dude you 1st connect to internet.
Using internet explorer you go to whichever search engine you want and give the query.

My first question is, on your new computer, would it has a modem in it? Don’t worry about the search engine, once you get your connection online, you can just simple type http://www.yahoo.com and the yahoo search engine would appear. If you want Google toolbar or others such as MSN, Yahoo!, Netscape Explorer, you could just simply search it in your default explorer and download them in your new pc. Hope this will help you
right firstly they will have them all on it already (internet explorer ect) when you use internet explorer it will have a box on the right hand side, you can choose your search engine from there. you obviously know how to use a computer or you wouldnt be one here. good luck
Well, I’m trying to recommend that you download opera, but for some strange reason yahoo will not let me post this? Hmm…That’s odd. Go to the opera website, it’s DUB DUB DUB DOT opera DOT COM.
