How Do I Make Google My Search Engine?
Whenever i type something general into my address bar at the top of my screen, Firefox has been set to use MySpace as the search engine but i really don’t like MySpace and would prefer if google would be the engine to present the search results…so if you could help switch this around that would be great, thanks

You can easily change the default search engine of Mozilla Firefox. Just follow the instructions.
1. open firefox, type in “about:config” in the keyword box (address bar).
2. search for “keyword.url”
3. right click on the URL and select “modify”
4. copy and paste one of google’s three ways of searching:http://www.google.com/search?btnI=I%27m+…
Google’s “I’m Feeling Lucky” (default pre-Firefox 2.0)http://www.google.com/search?ie=UTF-8&so…
Google “Browse by Name” (Automatically takes you to sites with a clear match, else performs a Google search) (default in Firefox 2)http://www.google.com/search?ie=UTF-8&oe…
Google Search (Google search results page)
more info here:http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Location+b…http://kb.mozillazine.org/Keyword.URL
Cheers!
type “about:config” in the address bar without the quotes
find keyword.url from the resulting list
change the value to:
http://www.google.com/search?ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&sourceid=navclient&gfns=1&q=
You may have to right-click that address and use Copy Link Location to paste it into the value
that should do what you want it to
you should be able to click on the icon to the left of the search box. and select Google from the list of search engines
