How Do I Use Google As My Default Search Engine?

Ever since I installed AOL instant messenger, AIM, whenever I type some words directly in the address bar, my PC shows search result from AOL not Google. How do I get rid of AOL and use Google as my default search engine…? I am using Firefox, and I haven’t been able to change the setting…

Firefox has Google set as the default search provider right off the bat.

    If your using firefox
    1. Press tools on the top
    2. Press Options
    3. Press Main
    4. Look for the homepage section
    5. Then just type any site you want for your home page.
    ex. Google.com
    Hope that helps xD

in preferences within firefox, you can choose which site is your default search-browser. Just opt in “www.google.com”.
Google also has a quick search plug-in for firefox.
