I do alot of searches in my main url bar. It used to default to Google but now defaults to ASK.COM. I am looking to change this but can’t figure out how. Can someone please help me. This is for Firefox 3.5 changing default search engine to Google.

Go to about:config in the address bar.
    Search for browser.search.defaultenginename
    Change to “Google”

change your default search engine to Google if Firefox says default search engine changed to what ever, keep your search engine as Google.

    LOOK AT your top tabs…
Tools …. Options… go to main and you will see a little house representing home page, set it to google.com, apply and save and voila its done.

On the left of the search window do you see a (very little) black arrow pointing down? Click on it and select Google from the list.
    Hope this helps.
