Joomla: Where Can I Find The Search Engine Friendly Option To Disable It?

I just unistall a search engine componenet (sef404) and only the front page works. Where can I find the option in the joomla settings to disable the sef?

    Hi:
    If you are using latest Joomla 1.5, login to the backend as administrator.
    And go to Site->Global Configuration.
    It is again divided into three tabs Site, System and Server.
    You need to be in Site and you will find “SEO Settings” on the right hand side.
    Just choose “No” for Search Engine Friendly URLs there.
    If you are using the earlier Joomla version :
    Login as admin to the back end . And go to
    Site -> Global Configuration.
    Here you see a separate tab called SEO where you can find settings.
