My Search Engine Has Been Corrupted With Some Kind Of Virus And I Can’t Get Rid Of It, Someone Help Me?

My daughter downloaded a game that had mywebsearch attached to it. We installed a new search (bing) hoping that would help but it hasn’t. When you click on one of the links your search engine brings up it takes you to a spam site about arthritis or orthopedic medicine or one of a couple others. Does anyone know how I can get rid of this?

there’s nothing wrong with the search engine, you are infected with a hijacker.
    this programs should remove it:
    pc tools spyware doctor
    malwarebytes

    Thats a common malware.
Start your computer in safe mode and then scan the computer
    Remove any infections found
If you still find the search engine faulty after removal, its probably because the malware is attached to your system restore files (which allows it to reinfect at reboot). If that happens, go to control panel “system”, “system restore” and then turn it off. Restart in safe mode again, rescan, remove and recheck after reboot. Once you’ve confirmed everything is cleared, turn on system restore again.
    Hope this helps.
Oh just a note for scanning, aside from your antivirus; I would recommend the use of “superantispyware” and “malwarebyte anti-malware”, they can clean up malware that your antivirus might had missed.
    Goodluck!
