On The Drop Down Box Of The Search Engine, How Can You Delete A Word There Permanently?
You have a drop down box feature on the search box of the yahoo search engine on Windows XP Operating System. I am trying to learn how to get rid of words permanantly from the drop box. Can this be achieved?

Please follow this path. Tools > internet options > content > auto complete > clear forms. To stop the generation of history in yahoo search bar. Uncheck the box of forms. To erase internet history. Follow this path. Tools > internet options > clear history and set the number of days to zero. To erase yahoo toolbar search history, follow this path. Cleck arrow> options> clear search history. It will solve ur search related problems.
Click that little arrow next to the pencil and go to the word that says; CLEAR SEARCH HISTORY and that should do it!!!
Click on the Toolbar Settings icon right beside the search box and choose Clear Search History from the drop-down menu.
The above answers just help you clear the URLs you typed in in your address bar. For your problem, you need to go to the following things:
Tools –> Internet Options –> Content –> AutoComplete –> Clear Forms / Clear Passwords.
Well this might sound a litle cheep, but just don’t the word or what your putting on the drop down box, then within time, the word(s) will get deleted permanantly, unless you/someone randomly decides to put it in the drop down box, oh and thanks for the name: drop down box, I didn’t know it was called that.
Hope you like my answer. Or click on the thing that says clear all history, but that one is worse because it will clear ALL of your history.
Have you tried clicking on the word Google, if using Google, to the left of the box? There is an option after clicking on it that says Clear Search History.
just let the ‘pointer’ over the word , the background be blue(do not click on the word) then just hit the delete button….
