What you have here is a Spyware/Adware problem.  There are numerous programs available for eliminating this nuisance, however the best one I have found to date is called Spybot-Search and Destroy which is 100% free.  You may also want to clean out your cookies and history files before attempting to remove the pest.  A good rule of thumb is to run this every week, to stop these from re-migrating back into your computer.  My site below under Computer Talk also has a section that details how to rid of all kinds of problems for free.
