Why Do People Ask Questions Here Instead Of Using A Search Engine?
As I look through the questions posted here about 75% of them could be solved by a simple web search. Why do you think people ask questions here instead? Do most people not understand how to use a search engine? Or do they not really need an instant answer, preferring to read a list of mostly wrong replies over the course of a week until hopefully that one person actually gives them a correct and helpful answer?

Because the answers here are filled with Humor, Lack of taste and/or Sophistication. We are a community among and alike No Other. We revel in the Sublime, Sub prime, Counter Culture that We are. Once in a while You will get a decent answer but do not look for Truth Justice and the American cut and dried Answers a search engine provides. The more Warped an Answer is the higher rank the answerer receives.
i think they know how to use a search engine they might not be bothered and think it faster and easier to ask the question and have people look for it….clever many would say lol

People tend to give you more useful information
because search engines don’t have any characters or interaction
Well, I guess it’s because you get real answers from people who have had past experience.
because we are sheep and are looking for attention.
because it’s fun to get answers from the real people rather from the web…
because they like getting answers from real people
