When I first downloaded FIrefox, I was happy at how the place where you type the web address could also double up as a quick search engine. Just type in a phrase, click “enter,” and you’d come up with Google searches.
Recently I downloaded the new Windows Live Messenger, and with that the search engine turned from Google to Bing. I don’t like Bing. Is there a way to turn it back?

You know how when you type something in the adress bar and if its not the site example: yahoo answers and it sometimes shoots you to a search engine like google well mine is on ask.com and i want to go search on google because ask.com is not as great anyhelp on changing it?

I have a website that is uploaded on 2 servers. 1 server is not updated anymore.Yahoo is listing the ‘old’ server in its search engine. How can I change the url from the old server to the new server? The new server is not even listed in yahoo.

First I’ve read similar questions and the answers don’t apply to me. I checked tools/internet options/general/search. My default search engine is Google but when I search from the address bar I am directed to Aim Search. I’ve uninstalled AIM completely and the problem still persists. I’ve also looked at the advanced tab in the browsing section. I hate this Aim Search and really want google back. Help!

I realize it’s a kind of ironic I’m asking this on Yahoo Answers, but i prefer google search. I’ve gone to Internet Options, search settings, deleted Yahoo, and set google as my default, but yahoo keeps popping up as my default search engine, and after I do a search, Yahoo pops up again on the list, but google is still the default, yet it keeps using Yahoo, any ideas on how to change it so it works?

I downloaded FrostWire and it somehow changed my default search engine to ask how do i get it back to google?

NOT my default homepage, but rather the search engine for when I type in the address field.
