My name is Ivan from Toronto, Canada. I am a copywriter for a SEO company located in Montreal, Quebec.
Me and my colleagues have run into a little dilemma and I was wondering if you could assist us with your expertise.
We are a search engine optimization company, and are currently working of a FAQ section of our site and by our very nature tend to ask more technical, advanced questions and are afraid of overlooking the obvious. Since SEO is quite a niche practice, I was wondering if you could give us a hand and ask a couple of questions.
SEO – Search Engine Optimization, what would be the questions you would ask if you came across that phrase. For Example:
- What is it?
- Who does do?
- and so on, anything that comes to your mind will be of great value to us.
We would greatly appreciate any questions on your part, no matter how small or big! Anything that can help us get that FAQ up there!

I have already submitted my website URL to few search engines, (msn, yahoo, google, etc).
The problem is that the search engines can find the webpages if I write the webpage title in the “search box” of google for example. But if I write a phrase from the content of a webpage, they can not find that page! Can u help me in this problem?

How can I tell if I am not making a Blog similar to another one. I need to search for it using a search engine. For example, if I’m making one about The technology of the Future (Not that I am) then I need to search ‘The technology of the Future’ on a search engine to find out if a blog like that already exists. But I haven’t found a good search engine for Blogger. I DID check google, typed in Blogger Search engine, but never found one. For example I know this: http://blogsearch.google.com/ When I search things using this ‘blogger’ search engine, it does not show me blogs from bloger, it shows me other. Can someone help me find a working search engine that searches only Blogger?

I have opened a blog on blogspot a few days ago.The U.R.L.is gamevalley3d.blogspot.com which is about information , help and tutorials for C.G. artists or say 3d animators.I am going to post the tutorilas the next month as my examinations are about to start.I want to know if anyone can help me in advertising my website for free and putting it in a good rank on agood search engine.

When I type into google or yahoo search engine what I have searched for in the past comes up. How do I stop this so that none of the things I searched for in the past show up?

I have a wierd, local webpage as my default search engine. When I type in question, it takes me there automatically and is pretty useless for answering anything. I am used to Google, and I tried to find directions on how to make it my defaulted search engine, but even though I foloowed the directions, nothing works. I still keep getting my wierd page.
Here are the instructions – I tried both of them, and neither one of them works:
Run regedit from your run menu and find this key :
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\I… Explorer\Main
and find Search Page value and change it to google like this :
“Search Page”=”http://www.google.com”
“Search Bar”=”http://www.google.com/ie”
I don’t want a search bar, so I just put in the searcha page value, restarted it, and nothing changed.
Then I tried these directions, but nothing showed up like it said it would. (at http://www.google.com/options/defaults.html):

For Windows: Download this file to make Google the default search engine for Internet Explorer versions 4.0 – 6.0. (Note: you will need Administrator privileges on your computer in order to install this file.)
The “search” button will bring up a Google search box down the left side of your browser.
The “Search The Web” menu option from the “Go” menu will take you to Google. For IE4 only, you can type “? ” in the URL box instead of a URL, and it will perform the search.
When you click on the above link, IE will ask you whether to open or to save the file. Select “open” to immediately make the changes (i.e., to make Google your default search engine for the actions described above). Select “save,” and then look at the file under Notepad, if you’d rather examine what the file does first. Be aware that you will probably have to reboot your system to make the change go into effect (even if your computer does not tell you so).
By default, Google will show results in the search channel window, leaving the main window for browsing. If you prefer seeing the search results in the main window, try this file instead.
I did, and when it said RUN, I ran it. Nothing changed.
