About a year ago, I was involved in a DWI incident that made the local papers. Subsequently, I was found not responsible and all charges were dropped. However, the newspaper story remains the 4th result when my name is searched in Yahoo!, Google, or any other search engine. I fear that this is scaring prospective employers and others. How Do I Remove Mywebsearch As My Default Search Engine?
I usually search by typing keywords directly onto the navigation bar, and it usually leads to search results from Google. But now whenever I do that, it goes to a MyWebSearch Search Engine. I’ve tried searching for solutions online, and none of them seem to work. My default browser is Firefox. I’ve already tried the about:config, and the add/remove programs on the control panel, still no improvements. Help?
