I’ve a blog at http://medotblog.blogspot.com. I’m not getting any traffic from yahoo search engine.. so i’m finding a way to get some traffic from yahoo.. anybody know a way?

Two questions in one:
Does the amount of traffic help a website with its search engine position?
And if it does, does this traffic have to be mainly on the index or can it be on any page?

Is it possibile to get traffic on major search engines (yahoo, google, ask jeevs, msn, aol, etc…. I don’t know but I think that it will give more engine traffic .Give me any suggestions for me.
