I’m referring to when you do a search, think you found a good website, click on it and get a page that says “What you need, when you need it” and it’s just another search engine. Do they really expect you to do a search? Do they make money somehow if you do? Is there one central company that owns all the “What you need, when you need it” websites? Why don’t they say something else like “Boy, we sure fooled you, HUH?”?

Say you want to find negative comments/criticism about a certain topic. What’s the most effective way to word a search engine query to find sites that offer a negative view of a topic?
Say, for instance, I want to read negative comments about a certain topic/film/etc. You could word the query as “I hate BLAH”, but this doesn’t seem like the most effective way to do it. Any other suggestions? What’s the most efficient way to do this?
